Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you join the Friday waitlist, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We wrote it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hi@meetfriday.app and we’ll rewrite it.

1. Who we are (data controller)

This website, meetfriday.app (and the redirect domain heyfriday.cloud), is operated by ASTRA TECH SRL, a limited liability company registered in Romania, with its registered office at Strada Poiana 40, Baia Mare, Maramureș County, Romania (“Friday”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

We are the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact hi@meetfriday.app.

2. Scope of this policy

Friday is a native macOS voice assistant currently in development, planned for a 2026 launch. This policy covers only the pre-launch waitlist landing page at meetfriday.app. It does not cover the Friday application, which is not available yet and processes none of your data today. Separate, detailed terms will be published for the app at launch.

3. What we collect and why

During the waitlist phase we collect the minimum we need:

We do not collect your name, phone number, payment details, or any special-category data. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not currently run any website analytics.

4. Cookies and analytics

This landing page sets no analytics or advertising cookies and does not track you across sites. We use only the browser’s localStorage for strictly functional purposes (remembering the launch-countdown state and the playbook you picked). Because we set no non-essential cookies, no cookie banner is shown. If we ever add analytics that uses cookies (for example Google Analytics), we will update this policy and show a consent banner first.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until 18 months of inactivity pass after our most recent message to you — whichever comes first — after which we delete it. Server/security logs are rotated and deleted automatically, typically within 90 days.

6. Who we share it with (sub-processors)

We do not sell your data and we keep the list of recipients short. We use:

Each acts as a processor under a Data Processing Agreement and handles data only on our instructions. We may also disclose data where required by law.

7. International transfers

Some processors (for example Cloudflare, and possibly WarmySender) may store or process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards under GDPR Chapter V — principally the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and, where applicable, certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, together with each provider’s Data Processing Agreement.

When the Friday app launches it will connect to third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic/Claude, Google/Gemini, Soniox, ElevenLabs), some based in the United States. None of those providers receive any data through this waitlist landing page today.

8. Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link). To exercise any right, email hi@meetfriday.app. We respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests as permitted by GDPR. Exercising your rights is free unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

If you are in the EU/EEA and believe we have mishandled your data, you may lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP (Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal), B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru 28–30, Sector 1, 010336 Bucharest, Romania — www.dataprotection.ro. You may also complain to the authority in your own EU/EEA country of residence.

9. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, this section supplements the rest of this policy. Through this landing page we collect identifiers (your email) and limited internet/network activity (technical log data), for the purposes described in Section 3.

We do not sell or share your personal information — we do not sell it, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the past 12 months.

You have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information; to opt out of its sale or sharing (there is nothing to opt out of, since we do neither); to limit the use of sensitive personal information (which we do not use); and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. To exercise your rights, email hi@meetfriday.app; we verify requests using your waitlist email and you may use an authorized agent.

10. Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted their email, contact hi@meetfriday.app and we’ll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

When we update this policy we change the “Last updated” date above. If a change is material (a new purpose, processor, or legal basis), we notify waitlist subscribers by email before it takes effect.

12. Contact

Privacy questions, access requests, and complaints go to hi@meetfriday.app. We read every email.
